Introduction to the Hills is a FUN,
challenging, residential weekend for Hertfordshire Guides and Scouts, aged
between 11 and 14, at our Orchard Farm activity centre in the Peak
District. We offer a wide range of
activities, which include, walking, climbing, cycling and orienteering. All
venues are natural settings with inspiring views. We have an experienced base of leaders, which attend each year
to encourage and support the young people.

The closing date for applications is Friday
5th February 2016 but applications will be considered on a first
come, first served basis. All
applications will be considered but preference will be given to those who have
not attended the event in the past.
The all-inclusive cost for the weekend is
£105.00 (covers food, transport via minibus to/from Herts from one or two
central hubs, accommodation and activities). The event is run from Friday
evening until Bank Holiday Monday evening. Prices are kept low to encourage a
wide base of participants.
We also welcome new leaders with outdoor
experience to join our leader team. If
you are working towards a qualification this may be an excellent opportunity to
get some experience. Please contact us. We
rely on new people attending each year.
