we arrived safely
Just to let you know we all arrived safely and had a wonderful breakfast (thanks to catering team) Here is our lovely campsite for the next few days. Note photo taken when all the young people were out enjoying activities...photos to follow this evening!
We hope that you are all looking forward to this year’s
Introduction to the Hills. Please continue to check the blog for photos and
estimated arrival time.
KIT
Please make sure that kit and bag(s) are labelled and that
your son/daughter is involved in packing. NO loose items. Please pack according to the kit list and
bring enough layers (it has snowed in previous years).
MEDICATION
Young people have been asked to bring personal first aid
kits which should only contain basic things such as blister plasters, lip balm
etc. They should NOT include any personal mediation or over the counter
products such as paracetamol and ibruprofen. Any meducaton MUST be put in a clear
bag/container which is labelled with written instructions regarding dosage and administration
times and handed into a leader before departing.
FOOD AND SPENDING MONEY
Please could you ensure your child has eaten a meal before
they are dropped off on Friday as it takes 4 hours to arrive at the Foundry Activity Centre. We
will be making a very short stop at service station on route. If you would like
to send a maximum of £5 spending money for your child please do so, but understand
that leaders cannot take responsibility for this. Just a reminder that NO
energy drinks or nuts are to be purchased.
HOME CONTACT
The home contact is listed in the final letter issued.
If you have any questions please email us and we will get
back to you as soon as possible.
